Pool Dehumidifiers & Heat Recovery Ventilators (HRV)
A pool dehumidifier is a specialized HVAC system designed to control humidity levels in indoor pool environments. Indoor pools naturally produce a high level of moisture due to water evaporation, which can lead to condensation, mold growth, corrosion, and damage to building materials.
A pool dehumidifier removes excess moisture from the air to maintain safe, comfortable humidity levels—typically between 50–60%. Some models also help recover heat from the air or water, further increasing energy efficiency.
An HRV is a whole-house ventilation system designed to bring in fresh outdoor air while exhausting stale indoor air—and at the same time, recovering heat from the outgoing air. HRVs are most often used in tightly sealed homes to improve indoor air quality without sacrificing energy efficiency.
HRVs are ideal for colder climates, as they retain heat from the outgoing air and transfer it to the incoming fresh air, helping to reduce heating costs.
HRV’s are incredible dehumidifying machines in the NW Washington region. They also remove harmful volatile organic compounds, or VOC’s, from the pool environment. They excel in spa, hot tub, and swimming pool rooms.
